Hey all!!!!!

Well last wednesday we played brewton parker and won 8-0, then we played them again and won 8-7 we were winning 8-0 until the 5th inning and we just kinda fell apart, few errors and coach made a pitching change and the girl didn't handle the mound too well, it was pretty dug up. When we played them it was rediculosly windy coming from centerfield and about 40oF which is about 5oC so as you can imagine i couldn't feel any part of my body and i forgot my long sleeves. I caught the whole first game and till the 4th inning in the second, got to hit, didn't do anything i would call amazing however i am hitting now which feels so good, got a few RBI's and ran the bases hard(thank the lord).

We played at home today.. our first game on our new field !!! the stands weren't up though so the spectators had to sit in the dirt. It was amazing, you kind of become a celebrity when you play a sport at the school and everyone wishes you luck and its just hard to describe the great feeling that you get. We played gordon college today twice and won the first game 20-0 we had 4 home runs one of which was a grand slam, two to rocky and two to alden(the grandslam), i played center field for the last two innings and got to first on a droped k, then i just got hit around didn't have to steal. We also won the second game 16-3 and i caught the whole time, unfortunaetly i didn't get to hit again in this game. But it's ok at least im hitting now, im not sure how well it went down but i had a talk to coach today and told him that i was angry, i said that i was helping him out by catching that i would rather be out in the outfield, that i had a better arm and that i was faster than the girl in leftfield and that how was i suposed to get better at hitting movement if he wouldn't let me hit when we were winning by a crapload of runs. I hope im not in too much trouble but i am doing him a favor by catching, something which im not college level at. I'm just the one that said i would do it, between you and me i hate it i would rather dive and run and jump the fence and all the fun stuff out there in the grass. Ha ha.. any way he said that i was right about the hitting and he should have put me into run for this girl and he was sorry and that he would try harder that i would get more time out in the outfield, i dunno if he just said that to make me shutup or if he meant it, im sure i will find out tomorrow at practice when we start doing defensive drills. I also told him that he wasnt giving me enough help with movement pitches and that he new i could hit a flat ball fine lefthanded... cause i hit it into the fence a few days ago off him, i just have trouble when they start throwing me curves and crap. He said he would try and get the girls to pitch to me more. I guess i kinda sounded like a cry baby or just really angry but softball is something that is supposed to make me happy and well i can't be happy with it if i'm not playing to my potential.

We play again on friday at home and then we are off to florida again!!! hope that all is well and i told yall that i would hit soon lol.
xoxoxoxo Miss you and i love hearing from you

Hey all!!!!
It's me again ha ha, well we had a great weekend in Alabama... the field was about a five hour drive away in a town called Dothan. We played Jeff davis first and won 2 nill, i didnt play that game. Then we played Central Alabama and lost 8-9 we were actually getting beat 6 nill until about the 5th inning then had a major come back, we had runners on two and three in the 7th and couldn't convert, i played catcher that game. We were supposed to play A team called Chipola, they are supposed to be really good, but the games were running very late(we hadn't eaten for 5 hours and had to get up at 6 the next morning)  and Chipola had lost two of there pitchers, so the coaches agreed to cancel the game.
On sunday we played Wallace Dothan and won 4-3 in a fantastic game, we got a run in the first then, they scored two in the third off an error of our first baseman, then Danielle had a massive hit to the center field fence with loaded bases scoring three runs, she unfortunately only got a single because she stacked it over first, which was hilarious to say the least. Then i think the got the last run in the bottom of the 6th off a hit. I played left field, didn't really get a ball, there was one little texas league hit in foul ball territory which i dove for but dove to early, apparently it still looked good hahah. I did get to hit this game but had two swining k2s and a ground out to second, i have alot more batting practice scheduled this week so im sure soon i will be able to tell yall that i had a great hit. We won our last game 14-2 against Jefferson state, we pretty much just had a field day with the bats... and the girls adjusted to three different pitchers, i didn't hit but i did catch and well didn't miss a ball. Coach as you can imagine was pretty pleased, he got us in real real close after the game and whispered... "thats what i'm talking about!!!" hahah, its pretty funny when you realise that the man is extremely old.
Our next game is this wednesday against brewton parker, this team is in our conference and we are playing at home, hopefully our field is ready, i will take pictures when it is finished to show you, it will be amazing.
I'm sorry i didn't actually take any pics this weekend, ill try on wednesday !!!
Until then i hope everyone is safe and happy and ill be seeing you in a few months!!

Hey All!!!

Ok florida... we travelled to St Augustine and played a total of five games unfortunately we lost all of them the worst was 6-0 against indian river but the rest were all two and one run in difference. Besides indian river we played daytona beach, St Pete, Brevard (This was very agressive and physical game... alot of people were cleated and knocked over, and hit by pitchers) and the last college was jacksonville.
I caught the whole weekend, looks like that is my position from now on and unfortunately i didn't hit all weekend. But its ok because i have another chance when we go to Alabama this weekend. We were suposed to have a game during this week but it has been moved to the 19th. Oh and I attached a couple of pics of our team!!!

Hope all is welll back home.. miss you all

Hey all!!!
We played against two travel ball teams this weekend... which are kids in highschool kinof like u19 rep teams... on saturday we played against a team called the shockers from warner robins.. which is 30 mins away and we won both games
1st game was 3-0 I was off till the last inning which i caught and i had a hit between 1st and 2nd which scored a runner... (batting lefthanded)
In the second game my roomie sam hit a homerun !! and one of our pitchers rolled her ankle... not good cause we are down too two and a half pitchers... I had a swinging k2(lefthanded) and had a running bunt in which i was safe and moved a runner to two...(lefthanded) and i caught the first five innings... i cant rememeber the score but i know we won

today we played a team from Metro Atlanta called the blitz I caught the last 3 innings of the 1st game which we won 8-1 and i had a ground out too 1st (lefthanded) and a looking k2 (righthanded)

We lost the second game 4-3 and i caught the first 5 innings... i had two walks (righthanded)

So i didnt go so well with the bat, but hopefully it will get better... and looks like i will be doing a bit of catching which is ok except that i had forgotten how much your hand hurts at the end of the day lol.

Anyway i will send you an email after this weekend because we are playing in a tournament in florida...

August 30

G'day !!! Well...Yes classes have started, im doing american government, american history post civil war, health, maths, psychology and computer literacy. Its actually not to hard but i find the American classes a bit hard only because i have no background but i think that i will do fine. I have met all my team mates i get along with them welll and they seem to like me alot... i feel popular and the coach likes me so far, training is long and usually pretty hard, i am proud to say that i am the fittest though. We practice (not called training) monday to thursday 3 pm till 5:45 pm and friday is 9 till 11 am... in that time we do alot of batting and alot of fielding drills and a plyometrics session... which are all these really hard fast drills... good for speed and agility. Then also on monday nights as part of our softball program we have study group from 7 till 9 in the library. Weights on tuesday and thursday and i think that we are supposed to do extra sprint drills on wednesdays but we didnt today cause it was too hot. Oh and don't let me forget we are also having one on one sessions each when we can
fit them in... they are for about two hours... so that is about ??? 18 hours worth of training during the week plus class and study... time management is a major key to success. I haven't had any more grits.. they aren't that good.. i did try corn bread its pretty good. I also tried a heap of candy (not lollies), "baby ruth" kind of like a picnic... "fruit gushers" kind of like a squirt... "jolly ranchers" hard fruit flavoured candy and on the packet is says artificially and naturally flavoured.. i thought that was really funny.... oh and "bbq" is like cooked pork in some mustard sauce marinate on a bun... didn't see that one coming.. Haven't had grilled armadilo but i did see a dead one... some of my friends took me too a shooting range and i learnt how too shoot a gun... we shot bowlin pins it was great... except when i used the bigger gun and it kicked back into my shoulder but hey it was cool and then they let me drive that was weird... lucky there wasnt many cars...

Subject: Hi From the USA
Hey every one,

Sorry that it took awhile but i just got the internet set up in my dorm... it's rather small but u can't really complain. The flight was long and by the end of the 13 hour flight to L.A i was tired, constipated and had very sore legs..... I had this texas man sitting next to me and he claimed to have worked for boeing... but i asked him about this plane that i was going on and he said that it didn't exist but then later on when i got on it i looked at the name and i was right so i think that he was pulling my leg... the food was suprisingly ok and i read harry potter, watched a movie called the flying dutchman which is good and some maddona.

In L.A man did i get confused with where i had to go... and the people weren't very nice.. one lady almost got mad at me when i didn't put my trolley in the right place but i was like there's no signs and then walked off, i was not in a good mood... i got through the customs, immigration and had to get another ticket printed... then i only had like twenty mins to my plane but i made it and i was in between two men who smelt bad and i just put my cute quantas sleeping eye mask on and slept the whole way... i hope that i didnt drool on them lol. Dallas was much smaller so that was easy but no one seemed to know what i was talking abot when i asked to phone credit... apparently everyone is on a plan... weird. Oh and there are so many fat people... and so many fast food joints.

Well i got off the plane all smelly and sweating because of the immense heat... and there was coach Phillips and my yroom mate... it was relief to see them finally. We stopped at Arby's a fast food place and i tried to eat salad but it was pretty grose. They love Ice tea to it's everywhere. I stayed at sams house and it is nice... I pretty much said hi and had a shower then crashed into bed... didn't wake up till ten the next day... had this wierd looking yellow toast for breakfast... not very nice. Then we went to watch a highschool game on the saturday... it's really strange cause everyone here knows all the rules and everything about softball and baseball and they are always talking about it.... it was so hot that day too 36 degrees... then we went shopping and yes i went to a wallmart... its so big and everything is so cheap. But we didn't go near the gun section... but the girls said that they would show me later...

We moved in on Sunday and it took ages.. didn't finish till like 11:45 pm but that was mostly due to my team mates saying lets go see this and that and we never got anything done.

Today i spent most of my time registering for classes and because i was made to wait till i got here there were hardly any left... so im doing heaps of useless stuff, but the girls told me that i need most of it to get into a four year school... but they have nothing to do with sports medicine... but you know what i don't really understand the system yet.

There are so many black people here, they outnumber us caucasions it's a strange feeling... and this evening they had a college foam party... what they have is this pitt thing and then they spray foam in it and people dance in it and get covered in it... I didn't get in but i saw a dance off i couldn't stop laughing...

Ok new words so far...

a boot is called a trunk, a bonnet is a hood, mobile phone is a cell phone, scones are biscuits, biscuits are cookies, thongs are flip flops, popper is a friut box, beetroot is beets and joggers are tennis shoes...

Any way i better go to bed cause i have class starting at 8 am tomorrow.. hope you can all write back.
